WHO WE ARE
We have 8 years designing, planting, and managing complex Agroforestry systems with a Syntropic approach.
Following a formation in 2017 in Syntropic Agroforestry with Ernst Götsch in Brazil, we have been on a mission to spread Syntropic Agroforestry far and wide.
Our Mission
Our mission at Emergent Agroforestry is to shift the paradigm of Agriculture. We seek to optimize life processes by creating agro-ecosystems that work on the same fundamental principles that Nature itself is based upon.
Instead of being a destructive force, Agriculture must become the hero of its own story, transformed into the very thing that is able to solve the problem it once created. We have a commitment to assist in this shift from an entropic agriculture to Syntropic Agriculture.
All we need is a shift in perspective and some help along the way. The good news is the path has already been found. Will you join us in Syntropy?
Vision
“Comprehend and copy nature”
― Viktor Schauberger
Like the mycorrhizal connections which link all the different plants in an ecosystem together into one supportive network, we see our role as agents of support and connection which will help producers link up to the wider support network of nature.
Firmly allied with nature, the agricultural systems we create will immensely benefit from the almost endless self-supporting functions which predominate in healthy ecosystems above-, and below-ground. Our focus is on the entire ecosystem and its dynamics. How can we interact in a way which optimizes life processes on the site and generates a positive energy balance within the larger macro-organism, Earth itself? The by-product of this interaction is vegetative growth, fruit, and wood — i.e. the primary resources which humanity needs from agriculture.
